Departure Day

Well the date of departure has arrived and I leave Perth at 11.30pm tonight.
Am I ready ??? No !! I don't think I will ever be ready to travel all the miles ahead of me ! Unless I was travelling in 1st Class, which I'm not.
I arrive in Melbourne at 6am tomorrow where I will spend 6 hours waiting to board the A380 Airbus to Los Angeles at mid-day. I am looking forward to travelling on this big plane, I have been told it is very comfortable and very quiet. Perhaps it will be quiet enough for me to get a bit of sleep on the 14hour 20 minute flight.
My cousin Rick and his wife, Gladys, are driving down from Solvang to spend some of the 28 1/2 hours I will spend in Los Angeles. I am looking forward to seeing them so much. Gladys asked me if there was anything I particularly wanted to see in LA. Well it's all new to me, so ofcourse I want to see it all !! On my last trip to USA I only passed through the Airport, and I never saw much then. I thinkl I was asleep !!!
Well I'm not sure when my next entry will be. So if all is quiet on here for a few days, check back every time you wonder what Thelma is doing, there may be an entry from Texas. Bye now
