Vancouver

Well here I am again after a week of silence on my blog.( bit like the comments on it!!) After a gruelling day of aircraft and airports the day I left Pat and Reg. I was completely worn out when I arrived in Vancouver. I even treated myself to First Class on the flight from Houston to Los Angeles. Being on the mean side I would have liked to ask for the extra $99 back when I arrived in LA. I feel I only paid for a larger leather seat and a salt and pepper shaker with a bit of extra leg room. The food wasn't any big deal, half a dozen prawns without any flavour and a bit of rabbit food and a small bowl of fruit salad. Ok I could have what I liked to drink, BUT I DON"T DRINK!!I want my money back......
Then I had a 6 hour wait at the LA airport for my flight to Vancouver. Great fun.....not!!
Anyway I am over it all until I leave here to return home on the 6th April. I'm not going to even thing about that flight !! Nightmare stuff.
Sorry there are no photos on this entry, but I forgot to bring my hook-up bit of string for the camera. I'll see if I can buy another when we go out this arvo.
The weather has been cold since I arrived here, but I'm happy.I wanted to miss the heat in Perth and it seems I have achieved that ! There was even a light fall of snow Thursday morning.I didn't go out in it but I was able to take photos from the bedroom window and that made me happy.
Jackie and Graham have been taking me out most days and we went to friends for lunch on Tuesday and that was an enjoyable day. Anywhere we go over the wonderful bridges here makes me happy. And Spring is arriving in Vancouver and the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees are in flower, and the Daffodils are coming out along with the Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Jackie has told me to wait taking a photo of the Cherry Blossoms until the street they live in comes out in full bloom, she said people come from miles around to see them, they are so beautiful
Next week we are going to a place called Hope. A small town that everybody passes by because they don't know how many interesting things there are to see there. So we have booked in overnight and are going to explore Hope. I'm looking forward to that trip.
Jonothon, Jackie and Graham's son, is going to take me to the top of Grouse Mountain on the Gondola before I go home and I'm looking forward to that little trip too.
Well we're off out to see about buying me the string for my camera and also I want to look around to see if I can buy a ritzy top to wear to a special dinner tomorrow night. Bye now.

I am looking forward to seeing your photographs of beautiful Vancouver.
We missed seeing the cherry blossoms but were told they were better than those in Japan. The Rhododendrons and Azaleas were still around and they were spectacular. Hope you have an interesting time on Grouse mountain, and you are right the wonderful bridges do make you feel happy. Sorry about you rotten 1st class experience.

Oh Thelly Thelly Thelly, you should have drank $99 worth of tequilla. That would have taught them a lesson for the tasteless prawns. You would have either entertained the crew by dancing the flight away or be passed out in your leather chair with extra leg room and no one would have heard you or knew you where there. Next time you'll know better, spend your $99 on Gucchi bags!
