The Canadian Rockies
Well where do I begin!! I have done and seen some things I thought I would never do or see in my life. There is no way I can describe the Rockies, they are just to beautiful and scenic and awe inspiring. They really have to be seen to be believed. One of my big disappointments is not seeing snow. I've seen plenty of ice on top of the mountains, but no snow !!There has been a long summer over here that's why there's a lack of it. Yesterday Helena and I went out on the Columbia Glacier in one of those big Ice buses and we were able to walk around on it for 15 mins. It was very icy and slippery but with Helena's help I managed not to fall !! The day before, we went up a great high mountain in a Gondola, what a wonderful experience that was !! I took photos and have had them put on a CD as well as having them printed off . I can't upload pics on Library computers, so rather than not take photos, I'll have them printed.
We stayed at a place called Golden last night but take my word for it when I say "Golden it Ain't ". It reminded me of that "MY Family" joke. To much inter-breeding. "My Dad's going to take me fishing when he gets out of prison in 53 years time".???????
Some of the Motels we've stayed in have been good, some not so good, one thing they do have in common though is............. they are all expensive!
The name of the town we are in now is called Revelstoke, and it's claim to fame is a big Dam,so we are going to take a look at that before we travel on. We are heading to Vancouver then, but will stop to have a look at anything we find interesting along the way. Have only got 9 mins. before I'm locked out of this computer, so will finish this for now. Thanks for comments received.

Glad to hear that you are learning to stand on your own two feet! If didn't go A over T on the ice there's hope for you yet.
There’s nothing like seeing these sights first hand is there? Photos never seem to do justice to the actual scene.
Not long before I head off Thelly and I'm starting to look forward to going despite the looong haul flights there and back
