Seattle

Here I am in Seattle. What a day it has been !! First and foremost I didn't fall this time. I arrived safe and sound.
I felt sad saying goodbye to Gladys and Rick and if either of them read this (and I hope they will) "Thank You" once again for my lovely holiday in Solvang.
The flight left Santa Barbara 1 hour late due to fog, but we eventually got away with me being minus Moisturising Cream which I had carried from Perth in a jar.It had passed through every other security check except Santa Barbara !!
There was still quite a bit of fog around as we contiued on our way, but I was able to see the mountains and eventually see part of the Golden Gate Bridge as we flew into San Francisco.Luckily, I had a window seat so I was able to see how big San Francisco is. I was getting concerned about catching my connecting flight, but apparently the fog had made a lot of flights late and the flight to Seattle was held back. There were no falls as the man with the wheel-chair met me at the bottom of the steps and all care was taken. And wasn't I glad he wheeled me to the Seattle gate,it seemed an endless journey. I would have missed the connecting flight if I had had to find my own way. As it was, I waited about 15mins to board the flight and I was away again !! What wonderful views I had!! Once again I had a window seat and was able to see snow on top of some of the mountains.Mount St. Helens being one of them. We passed over many small commmunities, lakes, rivers and Farms and then Puget Sound came into view. I was surprised how large it is and so beautiful !!!! There was so much to see from the air that I hardly noticed the time slip by on the plane. When we arrived at the Seattle Airport Helena had told me to follow the other passengers to the Baggage Pick Up area where she would meet me. This I did and was surprised when we boarded an underground railway !! I felt a little apprehensive, but looked around at the other people and thought, "Yes, these are the people from my flight", so just kept following. Can you imagine how relieved and happy I was to see Helena when I got off the train and went up the esculator and there she stood. Oh happy days !!??? So now here I am, sitting at her computer. We have talked ourself hoarse !! And tomorrow the "Sight-seeing " starts for me.
Sorry there are no photos with this blog tonight, perhaps next blog.

At least you made it safely this time. My count down is counting down and it doesn’t seem but two minutes since I paid my fare in Dec last year. Hello Helena, Watch the old coot she tries to fly at times! Takes off from the bottom step of stairs etc!
