Vancouver 15th Sept.2006

Here I am again and this time I am writing from Vancouver. We arrived here last night and after much searching found Jackie and Graham's house. We were made very welcome and after talking well into the night fell into bed and had a good nights sleep.
We had very good weather for most of our trip through the Rockies but rain set in last Wednesday between Golden and Revelstoke and we were glad to arrive at a town called Sicamous where we booked into a motel for the night, had a Chinese meal for dinner and went to bed. Left reasonably early the next morning and travelled on to Vancouver via Kamloops. I quite liked Kamloops, it is quite a big place and the gardens there were a picture. I've noticed that Dahlias seem to grow really beautifully over here, better than in Perth, and it seems the same applies in Vancouver, and they are quite cheap to buy.
We went out shopping this morning and Graham took us to an interesting Bakery called " Red Square". It is run by a Siberian and is all healthy food baked without preservatives. There were so many free tastes that I didn't need to eat any lunch !! There was even free coffee to go with all the tastings !! We could do with a shop like that in Perth, could'nt we ????
Sorry about the captions on the photos, I wrote next to the photos but the computer decided to do it's own thing. Hope you can work it all out.
Thanks Dave for your last comment on my blog.
