Now for the bad news !!
After having a great day out on the Tuesday we went back to the Holiday Inn, had Dinner and went to bed. We arranged to meet at 9.30am next morning ,have a bite to eat and head for home. I was ready a bit earlier so made my way to Pat and Reg's room only to find it empty. As a House -maid was checking the room for me I heard Pat calling to me from the Reception area. As we walked toward each other Pat's saying " The truck has been stolen"! All I could say was "Your joking!!, Your joking !! " But no, she wasn't joking and they were waiting for the Police to arrive. And I might say I wish the West. Aust. police answered as promptly! The next hour or two was waiting to see if they were able to locate the truck, which they were. It was at a town called Pearson,South East of San Antonio, and it had been abandomed. The police had driven it to the Police Pound and it was there to be collected. We all thought that sounded pretty good, at least it was drivable. And I think Reg was pleasantly surprised to find there was no damage to the bodywork, but everything that could be moved from the interior had gone. The satellite radio, and GPS system,a Coolertron, sheep skin rug and various cushions, and a generator that was bolted to the tray at the back. Virtually anything that could be taken, went ! Even our neck cushions. So if I want a neck cushion for my flight home I will have to buy another one. Apparently Reg was lucky they didn't take the back seat. It's common over here for the Mexicans to take the back seat to enable them to cram more illigals into the vehicle to smuggle over the border. Reg hired another vehicle and while he drove his own truck home Pat and I drove the Hire Vehicle in case Reg broke down. We arrived home at 10.50pm absolutely b......d. We all slept like logs last night.Even me..........who now has a really heavy cold !!

    Hi Mum
That's terrible. Poor Pat and Reg getting their truck pinched. Is there any insurance for the stuff taken from it? Doesn't pay to leave stuff lying around in view of people does it?
hope you're cold is getting better. sounds like you are seeing lots of interesting sights!
    love ya, Judy
