Vancouver, Sunday 24th Sept.2006

Beautiful day weather-wise here in Vanvouver so Graham and Jackie took me to Horseshoe Bay for lunch.
We travelled over the "Iron Workers Bridge", (named after the 15 Iron workers who lost their lives in the construction of it) through North Vancouver then past the Sea Bus Terminal to West Vancouver. West Vancouver has the highest income per capita in Canada. The Princess of Thailand has a Mansion there on the water-front which is one of her holiday homes she uses in the Ski Season. So you can use your imagination as to what the homes stuck to the side of the mountains look like !!As Jackie said " They need a crane to get them in and out of their homes!! The maid uses a Hummer !!" We followed the lower road along the ocean front to Horseshoe Bay where we sat on the "Patio"at a Fish restrauant called Trolls and Jackie and I did a bit of serious "People-watching".Very interesting folk to watch here, believe me !!??You know the type.......teenage figures and 80 year old face lifted faces !! When there were no interesting people going by we watched a couple of Ferries come and go and ofcourse, the beautiful scenery.
With the mountains and the water there is always beaut. scenery to look at.
