Great Grandmother Thelma with the one and only, Connor. Sorrento Quay
Well Christmas is over for another year, and I don't think I'm sorry. I had a good Christmas but my 'fridge is still bulging with food and I have already eaten to much !!I will have to start a diet in the New Year. Anyone have a good diet suggestion ?
I spent Christmas Dinner at Judy and Rag's,with Ryan, Richelle, and Clint. We had the usual Christmas fare with Prawn Cocktails to begin followed by Roast Turkey, Ham and a wonderful array of salads accompanied by the occasional Champagne and Orange. Ofcourse we all over-ate and no-one could even imagine stuffing Plum Pudding and Brandy Sauce into themselves !!
My Christmas Tea was spent at home with my friend Brad. Brad brought a kilo of delicious Prawns for which I had made a Seafood Sauce and we managed to devour half of them and more of the inevitable Ham and Salads. Christmas Day really does seem to turn into a Feasting Day as we grow older!!!
Today, Boxing Day, Judy and I went to Sorrento Quay with Ryan and his 5 year old son Connor. It was a very hot day, 35deg celcius, and it seemed that a lot of people had the same idea as us as there were many families having picnics on the beach and lawns. It was really to hot for me to be able to say I enjoyed it, but Connor seemed to enjoy it, especially the Wedges and Sour Cream he wanted as his lunch!
There were a couple of photos taken and I will endeavour to put them on this blog.
Happy New Year to all who read this, catch up with you on the blog again next year !!

Christmas has started for me.17/12/2006

Christmas has started early for me, Steve, Yvonne and Brodie are going to Dongara ( A little town on the coast North of Perth.)to spend Christmas with Yvonne's Family, so we had an early Christmas Dinner today at Yvonnes and Steve's. It was a hot humid day, 33degs of nasty heat. But Prawns, cold Turkey, Ham and Chicken with a lovely array of various salads and the traditional hot plum pudding and Brandy Custard and Brandy Cream went down very well. (I'll start my diet after Christmas!)After dinner Steve, Brodie, Aaron and baby Decklan went swimming in the pool. It was an ideal day for swimming.I'm sorry I forgot my camera !!!
My next Christmas Dinner is on Tuesday when I will go into the Harold Hawthorne Seniors Center. Once again it will be a lovely traditional dinner with the Turkey, etc. I will give my tummy a bit of a rest after that until I go to Judy and Rag's on Christmas Day. The long range fore-cast for Christmas Day is around the 35deg mark, so it looks like being hot.
May I take the opportunity of wishing all who read this blog, a very Merry Christmas and may 2007 hold everything you wish for yourselves.
