The end of Pat and Jack's holiday. 2008

And as the sun sets in the West, ( Lucky if you can see it through the smog) so we come to the end of Pat and Jack's holiday. Hope you've all enjoyed my ramblings. Thelma

Pat and jack in Hong Kong 2008

Seems smog is a bit of a problem in Hong Kong. Don't think I'll buy any land there !
Love the Ugg Boots. Like only the Aussies can make them.
The builders must feel safe working on this well made scaffolding held together with rope and leather.

Pat and jack in Hong Kong 2008

Very bright colourful street scene
Pat thinks this carriage is here to pick her up. She's in for a shock though 'cause she's not wearing the right clothes.
Surely not Pizzas in Hong Kong ! Looks like the Model is wearing winter clothes !!

The last night in Perth.13/02/08

Well the last night has arrived and it's almost time to say goodbye. We're ready to go to the Airport and Chelle and Ryan are heading off home to get some sleep.

We arrived at the Airport in plenty of time and Pat and Jack went to check in only to find that they had to much Cabin Baggage . It really seems that there are no Universal rules for what one can carry onto the plane. They all seem different. Our Patty wasn't very pleased, but that's the breaks ! I hope they didn't have any trouble getting their baggage in Hong Kong.
The Flight was an hour late leaving Perth, so as that was going to be around 1am we saw Pat and Jack into the Departure Area and said our goodbyes. I hope it won't be forever ! I was hoping I would hear the plane go over my place, but the wind must have been blowing the wrong way and I would think they headed direct North.
The weather knows they have left, because instead of the dreaded Heat Wave that was forecast for the next few days we have had a cool change come in. It's lovely !! There is even a suggestion of a bit of rain tomorrow. How wonderful.
So there you have it..................Pat and Jack's trip to Australia.
I hope you will check my blog from time to time because I will add anything of interest I do here.
Bye for now.

Last Sunday night (10th Feb.) Judy and Rags took Pat and Jack along to a friend's house for a Pool Party. It was a hot night and the pool was lovely.
Looks like a good time was had by all. Here's Pat (in the middle) with a couple of Canadian friends of J & Rs
Today, 12th Feb. Jack had a new taste experience. He ate a Dim Sum Lunch with Chop Sticks !He doesn't look ecstatic about the taste !!

Hello.....Hello ! At Margaret River Feb. 2008

Judy and Rags ringing Clinton to let him know they had all arrived in Margaret River.

Late photos from the South West holiday

I think the Photo of Jack says it all.
A new taste treat for the Canadians. Clint is an Apprentice Chef at Woody Nook Cafe near Margaret River, and he concocted this yummy looking treat using Scallop and Maple Syrup. Looks great to me!!

Late photos from the South West holiday

This is the very much photographed Bussleton Jetty with it's very pretty Sheds on the jetty.

The Voyager gardens AGAIN !!

A few late photos from the South West of W.A.

Pat and Jack went down into the caves to see the Stalagmites and the Stalagtites. This photo is of a Stalacmite.
And this one is a Stalagtite. The mites go up and the tites go down.
This is a different view of the lovely gardens at the Voyager Winery. I bet it takes more than one bloke to keep them trimmed to perfection as they are.

Part of Bunbury.

The Lord Forest Hotel. Sorry it's a bit blurry but I wanted to show the unusual shape of it. It's in the heart of Bunbury.

The old Wheat Silos have been converted into expensive apartments at Bunbury.

I would think the colour of this house would draw the heat, but with the sea breezes it would get I don't suppose it matters.

Not even Squatters want to live here !

These trucks are a common sight in the South West.

Hello Weight Watchers !

Just thought I'd put this one in 'cause it's so bright.
