My visitors have gone home and I am back to "As you were" !! I really enjoyed my short holiday with them and I hope they enjoyed their stay with me.On my birthday last Thursday we went to Mandurah.A very fast growing City South of Perth. It was a warm day, but because we were by the ocean it was a bit cooler than being in Perth. It seems one needs to be a Millionaire to live in Mandurah, the homes are very big and I dare-say the Mortgages are too.I noticed that many homes were for sale. Is this a sign of the times??We had lunch at the Jolly Frog. Shirley had been longing to have a Sea Food Basket and the Jolly Frog was able to take care of that !The only trouble was..........we were supposed to be going out for Dinner that night !! Needless to say we all ate to much and Dinner was a no go. None of us were hungry. We had no sooner arrived home when Judy and Rags arrived. They had brought me my birthday gift which is a camera and microphone for my computer,so I can use Skype. It took a bit of setting up, but all is "Go' now and I have already spoken to my cousin Pat in Canada. Pat was able to see me, but I was unable to see her, so a bit of fiddling around at her end is called for. When all was finished we went to the International Eating House for a bite to eat. Other than Judy and Rags who had been working, none of us were very hungry, so we each had a small meal and came home and went to bed. ( Not together !!) I was very tired after driving around all day and was glad to see my bed.Friday was a day at home. Shirley and Fred's Grand-son. Chad, came out to say "Hello" to his Grandparents and we spent a pleasant afternoon chatting. Steve had given me a DVD for my birthday which I hadn't even attempted to install and Chad kindly set all that up for me and showed me how to use it. I really appreciated that.Yesterday, Saturday, we arrived at the air-port thinking we would have time for a coffee after the baggage was checked in. Were we in for a surprise ?? The car-park was packed and we had to walk quite some distance to the terminal, and then get on the end of a long line of passengers just to check the baggage in, so by the time we hurried to gateway 2 where their flight was leaving from we only had time to sit for a few mins. before the flight was called and they were on the plane and gone!! Their holiday was over !!

Shirley and Fred

My visitors have arrived !!
A joyful reunion took place at the Perth Bus Station on the 2nd of April and we talked and talked and laughed and laughed and fell into bed quite exhausted that night. The next day, Tuesday , we toured around the Swan River and saw where Mr. and Mrs. Rich Bitch live ans there are a lot of them! We found a nice spot over-looking the river to eat our gourmet lunch of pie and sauce and Choc. Milk. We continued on to Fremantle where we visited the Maritime Museum. As Fred used to be a Boat Builder,( The Best in Australia) he was extremely interested in it all. Shirl. and I grizzled most of the time because we both suffered from Virtigo !!! The floor slopes and we were quite high on the first floor. Quite a wierd sensation. The photo of Shirley and Fred was taken at Dalkeith over looking the Swan with the Sand-bar quite noticable.
The following day , Wednesday, we set off for the Swan Valley. Didn't go to any winerys but we sure gave the Chocolate Factory a going over. We had a lovely Latte coffee there. Once again we had partaken of a gourmet lunch in the car. Very slimming diet of Sausage in a roll, Pasty, Cheese Sausage and Chips.No-one can say we're cheap !!!! We came home and had a short Nanny Nap then took off to spend an hour with Steve and Yvonne. Had an enjoyable hour and half with them then headed home where I cooked Dinner and once again we were all in bed before 10pm.

It will be a busy 5 days though and I will take them to see all the sights of beautiful Perth. So keep an eye out for further posts on this blog and hopefully plenty of photos. Bye till then.
